Collection Detail — Card Treatments

Making guide cards and thread cards more alive inside the collection drawer. Each option shown in a realistic phone frame.

Option A: Enriched Current

Keep the structure but add color accents, contributor faces, recommendation counts, and engagement signals. Low effort, big visual lift.

Best coffee in Williamsburg — updated 2026 list?

The old lists I find are from 2023. Half of those places closed. Who's got an updated take?

The great pizza debate — Paulie Gee's vs Roberta's

I've been here 12 years and this argument never gets old. Paulie Gee's for Neapolitan, Roberta's for the tomato pie.

New ramen place on Metropolitan — anyone tried it?

Walked by and saw a line around the block. Menu looked interesting but prices seemed steep.

Weekday happy hour — where's actually cheap?

Looking for legit deals not $15 "discounted" cocktails. Beer + shot specials?

Option B: Preview Peek

Guide cards show a mini peek of the top recommendation inside the card. Thread cards show inline reply previews for threads that have responses. More content density, more reason to tap.

Devocion is still king. East One for pour-overs if you want something different.

Option C: Collection Color Accent

Each collection has an accent color (already in the data). Use it as a left border stripe on guide cards and as a subtle tint on the collection header. Creates visual identity per collection without heavy redesign.

Comparison

Feature A: Enriched B: Preview Peek C: Color Accent
Guide cards Confidence ring + summary + contributors Same + recommendation peek inside card Collection color stripe + confidence ring
Thread cards Gradient stripe for promoted, hot/unanswered badges Inline reply preview, "Be first to reply" CTA Same as current compact (pair with A or B threads)
Visual identity Consistent but generic Most content-rich, draws you in Color-coded per collection
Card height Compact Tallest (has peek section) Medium
Build effort Low — styling only Medium — needs data piping Low — uses existing accentColor

Mix-and-match: These aren't mutually exclusive. You could combine B's guide peek cards + A's thread badges + C's color accent. Or pick one approach for each tab independently.
